Mahindra & Swaraj Tractor Sales in August 2025: Domestic

According to the report, Mahindra & Swaraj sold 26,201 tractors in India in August 2025. It represents a 28% increase compared to the 20,518 units sold in August 2024. The subsequent factors are significant in determining the sales of domestic tractors:

• The above normal monsoon in significant agricultural regions.
• Improved water reservoir level, favourable for Rabi crops and active Kharif planting operations, have all contributed to a robust rural cash flow.
• Continued government support through various financing schemes. 
• The early onset of the festive season in India (which is considered an auspicious time to buy machinery).

Mahindra & Swaraj Tractor Sales in August 2025: Export

In August 2025, Mahindra & Swaraj recorded sales of 1,916 units in the export market. Compared to the 1,399 tractors sold in August 2024, this indicates a 37% growth.

Mahindra & Swaraj Tractor Sales in August 2025: Domestic + Export

Mahindra & Mahindra sold a total of 28,117 tractors in August 2025, including the domestic and export markets. It suggests a 28% growth compared to the 21,917 units sold in August 2024.

Mahindra & Swaraj Tractor Sales - YTD (April 2025 to August 2025)

Mahindra & Swaraj wholesale tractor sales for the duration of April 2025 to August 2025 are 1,90,914. While the company sold only 1,70,593 units during the same period in 2024, this reflects a 12% increase in overall performance.

Commenting on the performance, Mr. Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We sold 26,201 tractors in the domestic market during August 2025, a growth of 28% over last year. The above-normal monsoon and improved reservoir levels augur well not only for Kharif crops but also for the upcoming Rabi season in October. While the IMD's forecast of surplus rainfall in September – especially in certain pockets – may pose risks to Kharif harvests, it needs to be managed with caution. All these factors, along with continued government support through financing schemes for farmers could potentially drive tractor demand during the upcoming festive season. In the exports market, we have sold 1,916 tractors, a growth of 37% over last year.”
