India's retail tractor sales in August 2025 have a steady growth. As farmers are preparing for the Kharif harvest, demand for tractors is quite high. The retail tractor sales increased 29.85% in August 2025. Let's check out the complete August 2025 retail tractor sales analysis. 

Retail Tractor Sales in August 2025

Retail tractor sales in August 2025 are 83,952 units, which is higher than the 64,652 units sold in August 2024. Mahindra & Mahindra maintained its position as the market leader in August 2025, selling 20,151 units and representing a 24.48% growth from the previous year. 

Swaraj Tractors, the second top seller, sold 15,415 units, which is a 26.08% increase from August 2024. Massey Ferguson sold 11,028 tractors with a market share of 13.14%. 

Sonalika Tractors remained fourth with 10,410 tractor sales and a market share of 12.40%. Escorts Kubota also experienced 1.24% growth in market share with sales of 8,662 tractors.

The next few months look promising for the Indian tractor market. Hence, it might be the right time for farmers to plan their purchase, before tractor prices rise due to TREM V implementation, a good Kharif harvest, more than enough monsoon (except few areas where heavy rains are there), and potential GST cuts. Retail Tractor Sales YTD (April 2025 to August 2025)

From April to August 2025, the total retail tractor sales are 3,78,199 units, which is a 11.44% increase from April 2024 to August 2024. Mahindra & Mahindra sold the highest 88,870 units, with a 0.06% hike in the market share. 

Swaraj was close behind with 71,697 units, which is 8.74% higher than its sales from April to August 2024. Sonalika came in third by selling 50,514 tractors with a 10.93% increase in sales. Massey Ferguson and Escorts Kubota finished in the top five, with sales of 44,856 units and 40,846 units, respectively.

State-Wise: Retail Tractor Sales YTD (April 2025 to August 2025)

Looking more closely at the state-by-state data reveals some interesting trends in tractor sales across India:

• Uttar Pradesh has kept its lead with 55,072 units of tractors sold, which made up 14.56% of the market share.
• Rajasthan is in second place with 46,750 tractor units sold and contributes 12.36% of total sales.
• Madhya Pradesh came in third by selling 44,301 units in August 2025 due to good weather and stable crop cycles.
• Maharashtra is fourth in the list with 40,838 units sold, and Gujarat, with a market share of 9.79% and 37,034 tractor sales, holds the 5th position.
